CassiScope does not require user accounts and does not collect identifying information such as:

  • contact lists

  • device identifiers

All processing occurs locally on your device.

Camera Access

The App requires access to your device’s camera in order to display the live camera feed and capture images through your telescope.

Camera access is used only while the App is active and only for the purpose of enabling telescope observations and photography.

The App does not record video or images without your action, and camera data is not transmitted outside of your device.

Photo Library Access

If you choose to take a photograph using the App, the image may be saved to your device’s Photos library.

The App does not access, read, upload, or analyze your existing photos.

Images remain stored locally on your device under your control.

Data Sharing

Because the App does not collect personal data, no information is shared with third parties.

Data Storage

All image processing and camera functionality occurs locally on your device. The App does not operate servers and does not store user data remotely.

Children’s Privacy

The App is designed to be suitable for educational use, including by younger users observing the night sky. However, the App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Since the App does not collect personal data, it complies with applicable children's privacy regulations.
